Work Description
This arrangement is based on the original solo piano version.
This piece is from my original collection Sketches of Seasons and Scenes, Vol. 1.
“Eilat” is a resort city in southern Israel facing the Red Sea. With average temperatures rarely dropping below 20°C, you can enjoy swimming all year round. It is also known worldwide as the birthplace of the “high-leg” swimsuit.
I visited Eilat more than ten years ago during a trip to Israel, and its stunning scenery—surrounded by reddish mountains—left a strong impression on me. That memory became the inspiration for this piece.
Rhythmically, the work is based on a bossa nova–style groove. The rapid double-note passages, intricate rhythms, and wide leaps make the piece relatively advanced. It leans more toward BGM-style music than classical tradition, with an emphasis on creating atmosphere.
