
Masakazu Shiokawa
Born in 1989 in Fukuoka, Japan. Pianist, composer, and CEO of LesClefsOffice Co., Ltd.
Shiokawa began studying piano at the age of three and violin at eight. He graduated from the École Normale de Musique de Paris with both a Higher Diploma and an Advanced Performance Diploma in piano.
At seventeen, he became the youngest recipient of the Grand Prize and the Governor’s Award in the General Division of the Kitakyushu Arts Festival Classical Competition. He was later invited to perform at the Euro-Japan Music Festival in Bordeaux. Shiokawa also won Third Prize at the Aix-en-Provence Piano Competition and was a finalist at both the Flame International Competition and the Fauré International Competition.
He studied piano under Chieko Kimikai, the late Takashi Hoki, Bruno Rigutto, and Yves Henry, and chamber music under Claude Lelong.
As both pianist and composer, Shiokawa performs throughout Japan, teaches the next generation of musicians, and serves as a judge for various piano competitions. Through his company, LesClefsOffice, he is also involved in music production, sheet-music publishing, concert planning, and artist management.
